Autobiography Reagan Ronald

Sarah Palin attended an event celebrating the life of Ronald Reagan on February 5, 2011. During her speech she made several references, comparing herself to the late former president Reagan, and also discussed the need for smaller government.

"America is on a road to ruin," quipped the former governor/reality television star. “Reagan saw the dangers in L.B.J.’s Great Society. He refused to sit down and be silent as our liberties were eroded by an out-of-control centralized government that overtaxed and overreached in utter disregard of constitutional limits.”

A Time for Choosing

Sarah Palin's speech lasted upwards of 30 minutes, and throughout it she referenced Reagan's A Time For Choosing several times. Comparing herself to Ronald Reagan further, she insisted that he too was chastised and ridiculed until he was accepted.
